hi friends, feel free to correct me where i`m wrong with this post.after all it`s just my observation of jw`s and the bible.. in the beginning of gods dealings with adam it was on a personal level , god to man so to speak.. god then dealt with humans via the patriarchs , then with the levi priesthood ,then judges ,( and a woman was a judge ) then kings ,somewhere in between all of this prophets played a major part ,and then came jesus christ the messiah.. and to my knowledge god has not validated a successor to him with any evidence i`ve seen .. jehovah`s witnesses claim to be christians but have with no new testament backing usurped jesus with jehovah.. this period of time ,until god says otherwise ,christians are to give honour and glory to none other than jesus christ .. that is the name that is above any other name until god says otherwise.

you know you're a jehovah's witness when.... being offered a scholarship to a good university is considered a bad thing.. when you see a house you like you claim it for after your god kills the owner.. you recieve spiritual guidence from a bus driver and a window washer.. you're engaged to a person you only met 3 months ago.. your widowed mother is marrying a man she met at the convention who she's known for 2 weeks.. there's jehovah's witnesses meeting in your house on a saturday morning to talk about going out knocking on doors on a saturday morning.. a lie in on a weekend happens about twice a year.. you dont talk to your own parents/children because they have a different opinion about a magazine.. you're not quite sure what you're supposed to believe anymore.. when someone criticizes your a magazine you feel like you're being attacked.. your 3yo son owns a suit.. if you're not married by the age of 30 you're considered to be gay or something wrong with you.. (for girls) if you havent married the first or second person you've dated you're considered promiscuous or something wrong with you.. you get your scientific knowledge from a magazine written by people who've never been to college and have never actually read the source they claim to be citing.. you get excited if there's a storm or natural disaster.. you get excited when there's a terrorist attack.. you get excited when there's a pandemic.. your version of tinder is the lunch break at a convention.. your girlfriend dresses like her grandmother.. your grandparents, despite being in the same religion as you, died believing totally a different belief system..
Where a brother can attend a J W meeting wearing a shirt, tie & show up in his underwear! :)

This way WT can finally truly say that they have gotten rid of any and all vestiges or traces of false religion. After all the name 'Jehovah' did indeed originate with the Catholic Church who JWs in their literature have often referred the C. C. to The Mother of Harlots!

it's been six months since the kingdom halls have been closed.
i believe here in ontario, canada that you are now allowed to have up to 50 people congregate together.. that was the average attendance before they did all the merging of the congregations.
they should have went back to the original pre-merger congregations.
One things' for certain...this cult has a ton of baggage. I'm speaking in terms of the general publics' view of WT due to their weird doctrines, teachings & negativity. The chances of WT ever gaining a steady flow of new converts is next to nothing with the exception of very young born-ins. There is also a ton of older ones dieing off right & left which is where most of this cult's past earnings came from.
In terms of selling off Kingdom Halls...a good many of these are in areas zoned only for churches...so the market is quite limited. I guess WT could let these buildings sit idle & empty for a while & maybe take out a mortgage on these properties...but how many banks are going to want to lend money on such risky collateral.
I'm happy to see this cult sweatin bullets...the worst and best is yet to come...Yay!

jp1692: It's very, very sad. I keep trying to reach out, but get no response. One of my children had blocked my phone number. When I tried contacting him with an app that hid my number, he changed his phone number. That's the one that lives 2 blocks from me.

My adult children have shunned me for eleven years simply because I don't go to the kingdom hall.

is it what does the bible really teach?.
is it what can the bible teach us?.
Besides the two mentioned above + the 'Truth' book...what other main study books has this cult had?
